The Story of Elysia

The art of unhurried apparel

Growing up along the coastline, Elysia understood that true coastal attire is very different from bright resortwear. Coastal living is about changing wind patterns, salt mist on your face, and reaching into your closet for an oversized sweater that feels like an embrace.

Too many modern hoodies and knit sweaters are engineered with thin polyester synthetics that pill, lose their shape, and trap clammy heat. Elysia set out to build Purity Tides on honest, substantial natural fibers: heavy combed cotton, double-knit French terry, and relaxed silhouettes that drape effortlessly over the body.

Our name, Purity Tides, represents both our design restraint and our pledge to keep our colorways soft, unpolluted, and calm.

Heavy-Gauge Combed Cotton

By combing out short fibers before spinning, we produce long-staple yarn that resists pilling and retains its supple touch after dozens of washes. Our fisherman sweaters are knit on 5-gauge brioche machinery for maximum dimensional depth.

480 GSM Loopback Terry

Our Cloudweight hoodies and crewneck sweatshirts feature heavy unbrushed loopback cotton. The loops on the reverse side wick ambient ocean humidity away while holding in core warmth during brisk evening strolls.

The Pastel Baby Blue Palette

Color plays an emotional role in well-being. Our baby blue is blended with tiny proportions of warm stone gray to create a subtle sea-glass patina that flatters every skin tone and pairs naturally with cream, charcoal, and washed denim.

Pre-Shrunk Coastal Wash

Every roll of fabric undergoes gentle mineral enzyme pre-washing before cutting. What you try on is the exact fit you keep, with no unexpected shrinking or seam twisting down the road.
